If the pickleball dad in your life has been eyeing a new paddle, this is the one. The Holbrook Fuze came out of nowhere, immediately landed on our best pickleball paddles of 2026 list, and hasn’t left since. I’ve called it an early contender for best paddle of the year, and I stand by that now months after I took my first swing.
What makes the Fuze so special is that it does everything well. Most paddles come with trade-offs, such as power at the cost of control, or control at the cost of speed. The Fuze doesn't play that game. It scores a rare 10 out of 10 on both. The full high-density foam core generates deep power with serious dwell time, and the aramid-carbon face adds touch and forgiveness that makes mishits far less punishing.
What really surprised me was the speed. This is one of the fastest 16 mm elongated paddle I've played with. It slices through the air quicker than it has any right to, which translates to faster reactions at the kitchen and more reliable counters when opponents are driving hard.

It comes in three shapes (widebody, hybrid, elongated) and two thicknesses (14 mm and 16 mm), so any player can find the right fit. At $230, it already competes with paddles from JOOLA and Selkirk that cost up to $100 more. With our 15% discount, you get it for under $200. It's the kind of gift that genuinely upgrades someone's game, and that's a hard deal to beat.

My verdict
The Holbrook Fuze is the paddle that will actually make pickleball dads better. I've tested a lot of paddles this year and nothing else delivers this combination of power, speed, and control at under $200. For a dad who takes his game seriously, this is the upgrade he'll still be talking about by the end of summer.

If the father figure you're shopping for wants a serious upgrade without the serious price tag, the V-SOL Pro is a gift that'll genuinely surprise him. Vatic Pro built its reputation on making the best pickleball paddles under $100, and the V-SOL Pro keeps that tradition alive, now with a full foam core. I spent 12+ hours with the hybrid Flash model and couldn't believe how much paddle you get for $100.
The first thing that jumped out was the weight. This is one of the quickest lightweight paddles with incredible maneuverability. I could manipulate the ball in ways I'd expect from $200+ paddles, especially thanks to the wild topspin creating awkward low returns.
The foam core replicates what premium brands like Honolulu and CRBN are doing at two to three times the price. Control is very reliable with great dwell time, and players I handed it to were comparing it favorably to paddles costing $200 to $280.

The cherry on top is that the V-SOL Pro gives feedback on mishits. It sounds distracting at first, but feeling when you’re outside the sweet spot means you’ll learn to find it more consistently, improving your dad’s game. Not bad at all for under $100 with our code.

My verdict
The V-SOL Pro is the gift that punches way above its price. For $100, you're getting foam core performance that rivals paddles costing twice as much. If the dad you're shopping for is still playing on an older paddle, this upgrade will feel like a revelation without breaking the bank.

3. Franklin X-40 Outdoor

Don’t underestimate balls as a Father’s Day gift. They might seem simple, but a freshly stocked dad who never has to rummage around before a session will thank you. And if you're going to get him balls, get him the official ball of USAP tournaments and the US Open Pickleball Championships: the Franklin X-40.
What sets the X-40 apart is consistency. It keeps its shape and delivers a true, predictable bounce game after game. In my experience, you'll get 20 to 30 games of solid play before it needs replacing. It's not the fastest ball on the market (more advanced players who want a pace-heavy game sometimes prefer the Vulcan VPRO FLIGHT), but that reliability makes it perfect for every level and great for drilling.
Multi-packs on Amazon are regularly discounted, and a 100-pack brings the per-ball cost down to around $2.09. It's genuinely one of the easiest gifts to get right.

My verdict
Balls are one of those gifts that always land right, and the X-40 is the one to get. Tournament standard, consistent every time, and a multi-pack means he'll be stocked for months. Simple and practical, it's something he'll use at every single session.

Speed

Shoes are one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give a pickleball player, and the SQAIRZ XRZ are the ones I'd want to unwrap. If the dad in your life plays a lot, his shoes take a beating. The XRZ is the most durable shoe I've tested. After three months of 15+ hours of play per week, my pair still looks fresh. No worn-down outsole, no silicone toe cap giving out, no breakdown.
But durability alone wouldn't earn them a spot here. The XRZ has a legitimate scientific edge. SQAIRZ commissioned an independent motion-capture study of 53 players and found the XRZ delivered a 15.15% average balance improvement over players' regular shoes. Better balance means cleaner footwork, a stronger base to drive from, and a lower chance of ankle rolls. Anyone who's been sidelined by a rolled ankle will appreciate that.
The updated version fixed my earlier complaints about fit. The midfoot now wraps properly, the microfiber upper breathes better through long sessions, and the stock insole stays in place on hard stops. The grip is also great, letting me change direction without slipping, which matters a lot when you're fighting for position at the kitchen. Give a dad shoes that keep him playing all summer, and you're giving him a lot more than footwear.

My verdict
The XRZ is the kind of thoughtful gift that tells someone you pay attention to what they actually need. It's not just a shoe. The durability is real, the balance data is impressive, and after months of heavy use my pair still looks good. For a dad who plays often, keeping him on the court and injury-free all summer is the most thoughtful present possible.

A good bag is one of those gifts that improves every single session, protecting your hard-earned gear, and the CRBN Pro Team Backpack is the best pickleball bag I’ve found. CRBN makes some of the best paddles in pickleball, and they bring that same quality to their gear. It's spacious without being bulky, tough enough to handle the daily commute between work and court, and designed for the way pickleball players actually use their bags.
The paddle compartment fits three paddles easily and is thermally lined to protect them from heat. There's a laptop sleeve for the dad who heads straight to the courts after work, a ventilated shoe compartment so your gear doesn't end up smelling like your shoes, and enough room for clothes, a towel, and a tube of balls. It's also waterproof, which I've tested involuntarily more times than I'd like to admit.
At $98.99 with our discount, it's excellent value for a bag that'll last years of heavy use. The kind of gift he'll grab without thinking twice.

My verdict
A good bag upgrades the whole pickleball kit and the CRBN Pro Team Backpack does that better than anything else I've tested. Everything has a place, nothing gets damaged, and it holds up day after day. For a dad who plays regularly, he'll reach for it every time he heads out the door.

6. The Ball Pro

This one is for the dad who drills. If he coaches, runs clinics, or just likes to feed balls before a match, The Ball Pro is the gift he didn't know he needed.
It's a ball tube, but not like the standard ones. Instead of holding 15 to 20 balls, this one holds around 50, replacing two or three tubes in a single trip. It still packs down small. Fold it up and it's about the size of a single tube, so it fits in any bag without taking over. Scooping balls up feels familiar straight away, with a satisfying click every time it grabs one.
You're paying roughly the equivalent of two or three standard tubes, but that's exactly what it replaces. I'm regularly working through 60 balls in a session, and this cuts cleanup time massively. Less time collecting means more time on the things that actually improve your game.

The Ball Pro is the gift for the dad who drills or coaches and wouldn't think to buy it himself. It holds 50 balls, packs down small, and makes cleanup on a full session almost effortless. Practical, clever, and genuinely useful.
