The name Black Friday dates back to the 1960s and has its roots in Philadelphia. There, the city became so swamped by people and traffic that police officers named it "Black Friday". As the name caught on, merchants eventually adapted the story to say that this was the first day of the year when they would begin to turn a profit for the year (i.e. be "in the black").

Q: How did I pick these pickleball deals?

Q: When is the best time to buy pickleball gear?

Black Friday is the busiest shopping season of the year in the US and many pickleball brands hold off on offering deals until the Black Friday-Cyber Monday (BCFM) weekend. Gear that is on sale during the year is often discounted even more for Black Friday. For me, it's the best time to get new pickleball gear.

Q: When should I look for Black Friday pickleball deals?

It's not too early to start looking. Many of the deals that begin closer to Black Friday (November 28) have already been announced, so take a look through our list of deals to see what savings you can expect.

Q: How do I get the best prices on pickleball gear?

I recommend opening this page in an incognito tab as prices can sometimes appear differently for different viewers based on their cookies. This is a good way to avoid any price-jacking. When you’re shopping, try to use our Pickleheads codes on select brands and stores. They might not work in conjunction with the Black Friday deals but it's worth a shot as you could save even more money.

When is Black Friday?

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is always the Monday after Thanksgiving, which makes it December 1 this year. This is a day when online retailers offer large discounts and is the online equivalent of Black Friday.
