11SIX24 has built a reputation for high-performing paddles at a fair price, but the new Alpha Pro Power is a big step up in cost. At just under $200 (with our Pickleheads discount bringing it to $190), it’s the brand’s most expensive paddle yet. The big question: is it worth it?

After spending a lot of time testing this on the court, I’m happy to say yes. The Alpha Pro Power is easily the strongest paddle in the 11SIX24 lineup, with a broad sweet spot, high-level power, and a very natural feel.

While it doesn’t quite reach the raw explosiveness of top-tier “power monsters” like the Gearbox GX2 Power or Selkirk Boomstik, it offers an impressive balance of pop, control, forgiveness, and spin – making it a versatile paddle that can fit just about any style of play.

There are three shapes to choose from: the Pegasus (standard/widebody), Vapor (hybrid), and the Hurache-X (elongated). They’re pretty similar so it depends on how much reach you want. My favorite is the Vapor because it blends the speed of the Pegasus with the power of the Hurache-X.

The Alpha Pro Power – 11SIX24’s flagship paddle

The Alpha Pro Power is designed to be a true do-it-all paddle for players who want both power and feel. Compared to 11SIX24’s earlier power models, it’s more consistent, less trampoline-like, and more forgiving across the face.

✅ What stands out

Broad sweet spot

Unlike the original Power series, which had a tighter, inconsistent zone, the Alpha Pro Power has a large, forgiving sweet spot that makes it easier to play consistently.

Controlled power

While not the absolute strongest paddle on the market, it generates plenty of pop for counters, putaways, and drives without feeling unmanageable.

Comfortable feedback

The paddle doesn’t have the plushest carbon-fiber dwell time, but it still feels connected to the ball, offering reliable feedback on dinks, drops, and drives.

Versatility across skill levels

New to advanced players can benefit from this paddle – beginners from the forgiveness, advanced players from the blend of power and control.

❌ What to consider

Not max power

Players looking for the absolute heaviest-hitting paddle might find it slightly underpowered compared to top-tier options like the JOOLA Pro IV series.

Higher pricing

We’ve praised 11SIX24 for delivering awesome value in the past, especially the $100 Pegasus Jelly Bean paddle. With the Alpha Pro Power, they’re entering the higher tiers of pricing for the first time. This paddle is worth its $190 (with our 10% discount) tag, but the budget label is no longer a callout.

How the 11SIX24 Alpha Pro Power plays

Category Rating Notes
Power 9/10 Plenty of pop for counters, drives, and putaways, but not quite in the top tier of the power spectrum.
Control 9/10 Excellent for dinks, drops, and placement – soft feel with reliable accuracy.
Spin 9/10 Solid spin potential. Doesn’t stand out as extreme like the Bread & Butter Loco, but more than enough for high-level play.
Forgiveness 10/10 Large sweet spot makes the paddle consistent and easy to use, even on off-center hits. One of the most forgiving paddles you’ll find, especially the Pegasus (widebody/standard) and Vapor (hybrid) shapes.
Weighting 9/10 Quick enough at the kitchen, never sluggish. Balanced for both offense and defense.
Grip 8/10 Comfortable and not too thick. I almost always use an overgrip anyway, because base grips are usually not tacky enough for my sweaty hands!
Durability 9/10 The polypropylene core has foam around the edges. Too early to know for sure how durable this paddle is, but it feels solid.
Aerodynamics 9/10 Smooth through the air, again especially with the Pegasus and Vapor models.

Features that matter

  • Multiple shapes available: there are three shapes with different names – the standard-shaped Pegasus, hybrid-shaped Vapor, and elongated Hurache-X. They all offer slightly different feels, with the Vapor being the standout for me.
  • 10 mm “foam-framed” core: while not a full foam paddle like a lot of new paddles, the core has a foam frame and “molded edge” that aims to enlarge the sweet spot, reduce vibrations, and add a more plush feel compared to the earlier Power models. All of this checks out for me.
  • Big sweet spot: this part is especially true, and it helps beginners and intermediates stay consistent while still rewarding advanced play.

Who the 11SIX24 Alpha Pro Power is for

This is one of those rare paddles that can legitimately work for just about anyone. Beginners will appreciate its forgiveness and consistency, intermediates will benefit from its blend of spin and control, and advanced players will find enough power and pop to compete at a high level.

I’d put it with the SLK ERA Power Elongated and Bread & Butter Loco as new top-tier paddles that are finally priced under $200 again. These are great alternatives to the $250-280 paddles that were dominating the market for a while.

My verdict4.5star iconThe Alpha Pro Power is 11SIX24’s best paddle yet, offering a premium feel at a reasonable (though not cheap) price. It’s an easy recommendation for almost any player (besides dedicated bangers who want the highest power). It’s versatile, forgiving, consistent, and balanced across every category – a true all-court paddle.
