Running a pickleball league tends to come with a lot of admin.
Keeping an up-to-date roster and group chat, making sure everyone gets the invites, finding subs, communicating reschedules. The list goes on.
Two settings take 90% of that admin off your plate.
First, League Groups: link a group to your league and everyone who signs up gets added to it automatically, all season. No group invite, no waiting for them to accept. If they play in a session, they're in the league group, simple as that.
That group acts as your up-to-date roster and gives you a league-wide chat, so you can reach every active player in one place.
Pair it with Automated Invites, and you now have an auto-updating group that gets invited to every league session, every week.
No more adding people one by one, no more chasing stragglers.
Two settings, turned on once at league creation, and the season runs itself. Here's how.
How to set it up
1. Attach a group when you create your league
In the league creation form (web-only), find the League Group section.
Create a new group right there (it's pre-named after your league) or link a group you already admin. Every session your league creates inherits it.

2. Add that same group to your league's automated invites
In the Automated Invites section of your league creation form, select your League Group so it's invited to every league session automatically, and set how far in advance invites go out.

đź’ˇ Good to know: Creating a brand-new group in the league form? It doesn't officially exist until the league does. Click Create league first, then edit your league and link the new group in the Automated Invites section.
3. Run your season
That's it. Everyone who signs up for any week's session is added to the group automatically: players who sign themselves up, players you add, and subs who fill in for a night.
What you get all season
- A group that keeps itself current. The group's members act as your league’s roster: anyone who has played any week is in it, including mid-season joiners and subs. No spreadsheet to reconcile against reality.
- One chat for the whole league. Schedule changes, sub requests, playoff logistics. One place, instead of a different thread for each week's session.
- Invites that send themselves. Every session invites the group on its own schedule. A player who joined in week 2 gets week 3's invite without you thinking about it.
What your players experience
Players sign up for one session and they're in the League Group. They’ll see the group in their Groups tab in the app. From then on they get each week's invite automatically and can chat with the whole league in the group chat.
Ready for the season?
Set up your league with a League Group and Automated Invites and you’ll never have to worry if your invites are going out, or if they're going to the right people.
You’re good to go.
