Adidas has become a force in the pickleball world over the last few years, signing pros and pouring real effort into smarter paddles. The new AdiPower Pro-EDT line is the payoff.
These paddles bring easy spin, quick swings, and a solid, connected feel that helps you play aggressive without losing touch.
There are three versions, all $189.
- The elongated 14mm is the quickest and brings extra pop.
- The elongated 16mm is the balanced choice with a higher sweet spot.
- The 16mm widebody adds stability while still moving fast.
After putting more than 15 hours of play on the paddles, my favorite was clear: the 16mm elongated. My serves landed deeper with less effort, counters jumped off the face, and cross-court roll dinks dipped right at the end.
At the kitchen I could slow down hard balls and drop them short. From mid court I absorbed pace and sent the ball back low, which kept me in control of the rally. The surface still grabs the ball after long sessions, and the edge only shows light scuffs. No rattle so far.
This new line builds on the success of the adidas Metalbone paddles, introduced earlier this year. Those paddles featured a bold design and easy spin.
The AdiPower line builds on that start with a cleaner, ready to play feel and a more confident connection on contact.
If you strike too low on the face you will give up a little power, so aim for the heart of the paddle and let the higher sweet spot work for you. The handle feels full in the hand and secure. Players who like slimmer grips can rewrap thinner to taste.
✅ What stands out
Fast, confident offense
My serves and counterattacks jumped off the face with less effort than most control paddles. Overheads and drives finish points without needing a huge swing.
Plenty of spin
I had no trouble shaping my shots, and my topspin drives kicked up and stayed in play. My slices and rolls had lots of bite, and cross court dinks made for clean winners.
Touch you can trust
My dinks and drops felt simple to place. From mid-court, I had no problem softening incoming pace and still land the ball in the kitchen.

❌ What to consider
Contact low on the face
The sweet spot is generous, but it sits a bit higher than you might expect. Shots struck too low lose some power. Aim for the heart of the paddle and let the higher sweet spot work for you.
Not a head-heavy hammer
Players who want maximum plow through may want a different balance. The upside here is quicker hands and easier reactions at the kitchen.
Fuller handle
The boxy, octagonal handle feels medium to thick, which I don't mind but not everyone will love. Players who like slimmer grips can rewrap them to be thinner.
How the adidas AdiPower Pro-EDT plays
Category | Rating | Notes |
Power | 8/10 | Easy finishing power on overheads and drives. Serves and counters jump with less effort than most control paddles. |
Control | 8.5/10 | Dinks and drops stay precise. From mid court I could take pace off incoming balls and land them low. |
Spin | 8.5/10 | Real grab on the ball. Topspin adds safe height and kick, and roll dinks dip late. |
Forgiveness | 7.5/10 | High centered sweet spot keeps off center volleys playable. Contact low on the face loses steam. |
Weighting | 8.5/10 | Even to slightly head light. Quick in the hands for firefights yet steady on blocks. |
Grip | 7.5/10 | Boxy octagonal shape with a tacky wrap that holds up to sweat. Feels medium to thick in hand. |
Durability | 8/10 | More than 15 hours in, the grit is still intact, no fade, no rattle. Only minor edge scuffs. |
Aerodynamics | 9/10 | One of the quickest paddles I have swung in this class. Easy to speed up for counters without losing control. |
Features that matter
- Three variations, one clear favorite — Elongated 14mm is thinner and faster for pop. Elongated 16mm blends touch and drive with a higher sweet spot. Widebody 16mm adds stability while staying easy to swing. I favor the 16mm elongated for its balanced feel and forgiveness.
- TriFoam Edge Reinforcement — Foam along the edge steadies the face and softens vibration, which shows up on blocks, resets, and counterattacks under pressure.
- Raw carbon face — Premium carbon adds natural grip on the ball for spin while keeping touch clean on drops and dinks.
Who the adidas AdiPower Pro-EDT is for
If you win points with spin, depth, and smart placement more than pure blast, this will feel like home. It shines when you like to shape serves, roll balls out of the air, and stay calm on resets under pressure.
If your goal is easy, one-swing put-away power from a head-heavy hammer, this is not that. If you can trade a little raw plow-through for faster hands, cleaner touch, and real spin at $189, the AdiPower delivers.
