If you run a lot of round robins, here’s a great way to keep doing that for free. Any session that requires players have Pickleheads Plus to join (Plus-powered) does not count against your monthly round robin usage.

Flip one toggle and you can run as many round robins as you want. We call this Plus-powering.

Plus-powering also unlocks the rest of the organizer toolkit: unlimited tournaments, leagues, ladders, and the automation tools that make running events easier (recurring sessions, session duplication, and waitlist management). This guide focuses on round robins specifically. For the full picture, see everything organizers can do with Plus-powered tools →.

What “unlimited for free” actually means

Plus-power a session and you can run it for free. No usage cap, no counter to watch.

Pickleheads Plus subscribers get all the benefits of Plus, and you keep running your group exactly the way you have been.

Where to find the Plus-requirement toggle

The setting lives inside session creation under "Advanced Settings". Navigate to:

New Game → Round Robin → Choose Format → Advanced Settings → Pickleheads Plus (toggle On)

Once you start to create your session, here's where you find the feature to require Pickleheads Plus.

Step 1: Create your session

Set your title, date/time, location, player cap, and format.

Step 2: Open Advanced Settings

Scroll to the bottom of the creation form and expand Advanced Settings. You’ll see Pickleheads Plus with a simple toggle.

Step 3: Toggle “Pickleheads Plus” On

Turning this on adds a clear banner to your session page and places the Plus requirement at the top of the signup page. Players without Plus will be prompted to upgrade before they can RSVP. Once upgraded, they gain access to the session.

Step 4: Publish (or edit an existing session)

Save your session. If you already had a session live, just edit it, flip the toggle, and click save. That session is now Plus-powered.

Step 5: Communicate to players

Add one line to your description and post a quick note in your group chat so nobody’s confused. The Plus requirement allows players to chip in and cover the software you use to run your sessions.

💡 Good to know: you can edit existing sessions and turn the toggle on after the fact. You don't have to create anything from scratch to get this benefit.

Why Plus-power your sessions

Plus-powering is the free way to run unlimited round robins on Pickleheads. It's especially useful if you:

  • Run multiple round robins a week and don't want to cover subscription costs alone.
  • Have a smaller group but run frequent sessions.
  • Don't want to charge players directly: we collect from players so you don't have to.

Get started

You don’t need to change how you run your program. Just turn this one setting on, and you're good to go. Run the round robins you want, as often as you want. All free.

  • Create a Round Robin now and flip Pickleheads Plus to On (Advanced Settings).
  • Edit any existing round robin to enable the toggle.
  • Communicate the update to players and let your games run as usual.
